Youth and Sports ministry of Bangladesh organized the final match of the table tennis competition and prize distribution programme of Bangabandhu Inter-University Sports Champs 2019 held at North South University.
State Minister for Power, Energy and Mineral Resources of Bangladesh Nasrul Hamid, MP was present as the chief guest.
Nahim Razzak, MP, addresser of Bangabandhu Inter-University Sports Champs 2019, Dr Kazi Anis Ahmed, joint secretary, Association of Private Universities of Bangladesh (APUB), Khondaker Hasan Munir, vice-president of Bangladesh Table Tennis Federation, Md Alamgir Hossain Khan, general manager and Head of Finance of Polar Ice cream, Md Shafiul Azam, managing director and chief executive officer of Modhumoti Bank Limited and Pro Vice-Chancellor (VC) (designate), NSU, Professor Dr G U Ahsan were present as the special guest over the programme.
VC of NSU, Professor Dr Atiqul Islam presided over the ceremony.
In the speech Nasrul Hamid said, “I am very happy to participate as the chief guest at Bangabandhu Inter-University Sports Champs 2019 prize distribution ceremony at NSU. I request all public and private universities of Bangladesh to organize such successful tournament in future in greater form.”
In the meantime, Nahim Razzak thanked NSU authorities for playing an important role as organizer at Bangabandhu Inter-University Sports Champs 2019.
In the speech of the President, Professor Dr Atiqul Islam congratulated all the winners of the Table Tennis Competition. During this time, he also gave special thanks to all the participants who participated in the competition.
Among others senior officials of Youth and Sports ministry of Bangladesh and Bangladesh Table Tennis Federation, Directors, other senior officials, Participants of the competitions, teachers and students were present during the prize giving ceremony.
