ACI Motors has given a specialised cleaning machine as a gift to Cox’s Bazar beach management body to enhance green activities in the tourist city.

Managing Director and Chief Executive of ACI Motors Dr F H Ansary and Executive Director Subrata Ranjan Das jointly handed over the machine to the authorities concerned at Hotel Sea Palace in Cox’s Bazar on Wednesday.

Cox’s Bazar Additional Deputy Commissioner Sarwar Kamal received the machine on behalf of beach management body.  Additional Police Super Babul Chandra Bonik and Executive Magistrate Saiful Islam were also present on the occasion from district administration. After having been handed over, the cleaner machine was demonstrated at the beach, said a press release.

Cox’s Bazar is the longest natural sea beach in the world with length of 120 kilomtres. But the beach is now facing environmental problems, especially in the tourist attraction areas as the waste and garbage is polluting the beach area.

To support the green activities at longest beach in the world, ACI Motors has taken the initiative as social corporate responsibilities, according to the officials.

This is the first time the cleaners in Bangladesh are going to use this machine. Not only that, it will be first such machine in this sub-continent, ACI Motors officials said adding, “They have gifted a 90 horsepower Sonalika branded tractor with beach cleaner attachment for this purpose.”
