A day-long workshop on ‘Debate, Correction Pronunciation and Presentation’ was held at Islamic University (IU) in Kushtia securing the slogan ‘Let’s see world in the eyes of logic’.
IU Debating Society (IUDS) organized the workshop at Birshershtha Hamidur Rahman Auditorium around 11:00am on Tuesday. IU vice-chancellor Prof Dr M Harun-Ur-Rashid Askari addressed here as the chief guest. Pro-VC Prof Dr M Shahinoor Rahman and Prof Dr M Mhabubar Rahman of EEE department were attended there as special guests.
Dr Mustafizur Rahman, lecturer of Folklore Department and Mosabbirul Islam, AC Land Kushtia, delivered speech as the resource persons. Shahadat Hossain Nishan, convener of IUDS and its joint convener Moonmun Sultana Antora anchored the programme.
while Emran Shuvra, Secretary of IU Journalists’ Association and over 500 students were took part at the event.
While addressing, Dr Askari compared debating with an art and mentioned that it can increase the range of knowledge of a student.
In the era of information and technology, who will enrich himself with huge knowledge and make associated with technology, he will become more talent and smart, he added.
