Taylor Maddalene, manager of National Geographic Society in USA called on Dhaka University (DU) Vice-Chancellor (VC)Professor Dr Md Akhtaruzzaman at the latter’s office of the university on Tuesday, 16 April.
Director of the Center for Advanced research in Sciences of DU Professor Dr Golam Mohammad Bhuiyan and Professor of the Department of Zoology Dr Md Anwarul Islam were present on this occasion, reports BSS.
During the meeting they discussed the possibilities of undertaking joint collaborative research programs on wild animal, fisheries, oceanography, environment and disaster management between DU and National Geographic Society.
They stressed the need for making the world free from all sorts of pollution. They also discussed about signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between DU and National Geographic Society to conduct joint collaborative research programs in this regard.
